Having just purchased a 2003 CR-V (now own 2 of these grteat cars!!) I am
glad that I didn't ask a question and get the RTFM response which assumes that there IS a manual in an otherwise good car...-- Thanks, Hank "bearman" <noyb@home.com> wrote in message news:5O-dnaECw_CGzgLZnZ2dnUVZ_vednZ2d@comcast.com... > > "glenf" <ccim@jps.net> wrote in message > news:PzHng.12251$o4.406@newsread2.news.pas.earthli nk.net... > >I know that it is probably easy, like patting the top of your head and > > rubbing your tummy, but what is the proper proceedure? > > > > TIA > > glen at ccim dot net > > > > > > RTFM ! > -- > Bearman > > If it's got tits, tires, tubes, or transistors, it's trouble. > > |

Even though the person originally asking found his answer elsewhere, I'll provide the answer for anyone else looking at the thread to get it. With the ignition turned OFF, press and hold the trip odometer reset button. Still holding the reset button, turn the ignition key to the run position. Continue holding the reset button until the indicator light goes out, then flashes once. Your oil minder has now been reset. The group is supposed to be about help, which should include answers, not just references to other information warehouses. |

The group *is* about help. What it is NOT about is spoon-feeding the owner's manual to people who are just too lazy to get out of their chairs and get their manuals and look up the information. You don't see people in, say, an A/V group asking which button to use for changing the channel... |

I bought MY Civic NEW, but MOST people don't buy new cars. When was the
last time YOU bought a USED car that still had an owner's manual? Husky Elmo P.
