My A/C in my honda 2002 civic SI really smell bad. That's not my first car
with a/c so i know what's a/c suppose to smell like. My mom has an honda accord too, and doesnt smell like that.. Is this something normal? It only stinks when I turn it on, after a few minutes, the smell goes away. Also, is it possible to turn this anoying A/C turning on automaticly? I know it's better to defrost windows, but ... Thanks and sorry for my poor english! Mike |

Hi,
You've got bacteria in your pipes! This happens when you have the aircond on low in hot/humid condition and condensation set in. I had to get mine "serviced" to get rid of the stale yucky smell. Just turn the AC on... With fresh air chosen as the source. Find the inlet
by the hood and spray a can of Lysol in there while it is on high. It'll kill the stuff in the pipes.
