I have a 98 civic with plastic headlights. They have become discolored and
have a film on them. Someone told me that they think they might be able to be cleaned. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, John |

I tried the lens cleaner from Autozone, but it didn't work. Someone
suggested buffing them out. Do you know if it can be done and where to go for something like that? This might sound a little funny but try tooth paste!
Use slightly damp cheese cloth (wet it then wring it out tight) and apply the paste to the cloth neat. Generally the dryer the mix the smoother the buff so you might want to start with a little extra water in the form of a very fine mist from a spray bottle directly on the surface, work small areas and check as you go. This or any other polish will not be successful if oxidising has occurred throughout the body of the lens. I personally have found this method useful on most polycarbonates and alike!
