Default Differnces between ceramic and semi-metallic b

Hi all:
I'm anticipating the front brake pads on my 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid will
have to be replaced soon. What's the differences (pros/cons) between
semi-metallic and ceramic pads? W
hich one should I consider? Do brand names (e.g. Raybestos) really make a
difference? Thanks for any input!

Ceramic last a much longer time and VERY little dust and stop alot
quicker I love them on my passport almost five years and not much wear

How many miles have you driven? How hard do you drive? I just did the
noisy pads on my 04 Civic Hybrid at 115K, but they probably could have
gone another 30 or 40K. Had bought rears as well, but when I pulled the
rear drums, the factory shoes still had more lining than the new
replacement shoes, so I just put the drums back on and returned the new
shoes to the store.

If you allow the regen to do most of your braking, you probably don't
need new pads yet.
