Ok Guys. Just wanted to post a follow-up to re-hash the problem with
the honda. I went back and rechecked the fuel pressure and pulled the injectors and checked each one. Everything looked really good (within tolerance). Still, the engine performed very well on top end, leading me to believe that fuel and injectors were not the problem. After thinking about it more, I decided to eliminate the O2 sensor by disconnecting it. I did this because it is the only device to my knowledge that provides feedback to the ecu regarding current air/fuel mixture. I did this even though I was not setting a check engine code. After disconnecting it, the problem went away and the motor performed perfectly. I took this as my "SIGN" and immediately went and purchased a new O2 sensor. I have run the car for two weeks and it has worked perfectly. I hope that this helps someone out there. If I can possibly give advice to you on a similiar matter, don't hesitate to e-mail me. Have fun |
