Default my 87 accord hates me:(

A few years ago, my sister brought her 87, 2-door hatchback lxi
4-cylinder 12 valve fuel injected honda accord back home because it
was having bearing problems. After looking for a couple of months, my
father and I found some good wheel hubs from another car in the
junkyard and fixed that problem, and I inherited the car. This is the
point where I discovered the true problems of teh car. The Battery
will die if I leave it connected for more that a few hours after the
car is turned off. I have taken it in for electrical service on 3
seperate occasions. On the first, the headlinght motors were removed
(mysister damaged the passenger side headlight, and it would not
move.) For a while the problem went away.
Then It returned, and this time there was a shortin the electrical
system which knocked out the headlights, running lights, and dash
lights. The garage replaced the dimmer switch and some wiring behind
the CD player my sister had installed herself. and finally last time,
the battery died while I was getting gas, with the car truned off for
maybe 5 minutes. Is this car determined to go to the junkyard? At
the shop, the techincian first traced the power drain to the passenger
seat belt system. This didn't fix the problem, so we tested the
battery with the car off, while starting, and at idle. The techician
told me the car was drawing to much energy when starting, but I don't
see how that would cause the battery to die.
And on another interesting note, the engine has started to jump up the
revs and drop them when idling, up to 2500 rpms, down to 500, back up
to 2500. The problem goes away when the engine warms, but worrys me
nonetheless. This is a nice car, and I would hate to junk it if i can
help it. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, please respond.
