This has been troubling me for some time now. I have a 96 honda civic
non-vtech and i have my catalytic converter on my headers. Which makes me have two o2 sensors. Well i got new 4-2-1 headers and there is only 1 o2 sensor hook-up. Well i am running on a check engine light because i only have one o2 sensor plug up. How can i get rid of this problem??? I dont want to run check engine light, please help me out. |

drill & weld nut where the 2nd o2 sensor should go..... or fit an
appropriate resistor to the 2nd o2 sensor wires. unsure on value, or if this will cause cat damage (ecu detecting lambda=1 because of resistor, where it might not actually be running at that value). far prefer the 1st option of drill & weld a nut in place. tim "Luvmy96honda" <luvmy96honda@cox.net> wrote in message news:IsjSb.6576$fZ6.3775@lakeread06... > This has been troubling me for some time now. Where should i drill the second O2 sensor at to get rid of my check engine
light. Should i drill after my headers go from 4-2 or should i drill from 2-1 or after my pipe already comes to 1?? drill where the pipe is single pipe - as it is on the original exhaust.
also, if you still have it, try to drill in a similar location to the stock lambda position, as this is where the ECU is expecting the lambda feed to be from (theres difference between the manifold/header and the rear box) and as a good precaution, dont have the lambda sticking downwards. have it on either side of the exhaust pipe, or on the top 1/2 - this will stop stray objects in the road from hitting the lambda sensor tim "Luvmy96honda" <luvmy96honda@cox.net> wrote in message news:4hVTb.20559$fZ6.11336@lakeread06... > Where should i drill the second O2 sensor at to get rid of my check engine > light.
