Default 2003 accord ex v6 knock sensor

I have a new 2003 with 4500 miles. The check engine light came on and I
thought it was caused by a loose gas cap. It never went out and took car to
the dealer. They said the knock sensor was out and they think a rat or
mouse chewed it up. I live in the city and have 4 other vehicles with no
problems what so ever. They want me to pay 325.00 to repair. I think it's
a bunch of crap. Why would I pay 24000 dollars for a vehicle that rats can
easily chew up a wire. They also said they have done over 40 of them the
last year and the rats always go for the same wire. I won't pay to have it
fixed. Honda Credit can come get it. I would like to know if any one else
has had a knock sensor problem..

thanks
