Hello:

Were there Accord 6 Cyl transmission "problems" in the 2000 - 2002 years ?

If so, were they all corrected by the 2003 model year ?

Did they extend the transmission coverage warranty because of this ?

Are the 6 Cyl. model transmissions O.K. now ?

There were automatic transmission problems all over in the 98-2001 or so
years. My Honda mechanic said he was seeing 3 or 4 transmissions a week
going through his shop at one time.

Yes, they extended the warranty on some of them. Allegedly, these
problems were corrected by the 2002 model year. We'll see.

He warned me against buying an automatic transmission of those years, so
I ended up with a manual trans 2000 Accord.
