Hello:
About to purchase an Accord LX , and am trying to get all my ducks in order re pricing before I go to dealership. Very confusing. Edmunds is a great site, but for some reason does not have any prices for the options. Just says options aren't available for this model, but I know there are. Such as side air bags, auto trans., etc. a. is there a "better" site with more complete pricing, especially regarding options pricing ? b. also, Edmunds uses a descriptor of SRS, which I assume is supplemental restraint system, but what is PZEV ? c. also curious about what your opinions might be re 4 vs 6 cyl ? e.g., reliability, and potential life ? Can I expect them both to last as long ? d. the LX comes with 15" tires. Is it worth the hassle to go for the 16 " ones which their upscale Accords come with as st'd. ? better handling, or... with the 16" ? any thoughts on Acords vs Camry would also be appreciated. Much thanks, Bob |

You need to scroll down further on the Accord listings. You will come to prices on Coupes, 4 doors, Sticks, LX's, Ex's, LX Autos, LX Autos with Side Air Bags, etc. It's there but I almost missed it too. Everyone I've talked to says the 4cyl. is plenty powerful and so does all the magazine reviews. Personally, if I had the choice of the 4 or a FREE V-6, I'd take the 4cyl. in a heartbeat! Both engines are very reliable. I think an Accord with a 5 speed Automatic and side air bags would be an absolutely awesome vehicle. I have a 99 Accord LX, 4cyl.Auto and it's great. I've heard the 2004's are outstanding! Good luck ed |
