I got 2 new mountain bikes last week. I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and would like to carry my bikes while I am driving my Odyssey so that I can have fun at the bikes trails. To make this happen, I will need to first have the bikes mounted on a hitch-mounted bike rack. Before I purchase a 4-bike hitch-mounted bike rack, I will need to get the proper hitch installed for my Odyssey.

I have done some research on the hitch that I need to install so that I could carry at least 3 bikes on a hitch-mounted bike rack but I still need some advice on the type of hitch I need to buy. There are Class-1, Class-2 and Class-3 hitches available but I am not sure what kind of hitch I need to buy for my Odyssey so that I can carry my bikes using that hitch. I'd appreciate if someone can help me or point me in the right direction on the type of hitch I need to buy for my usage, place where I can buy the hitches, recommended brand and if this is something that I need to get done at the dealership (because the 2007 Odyssey is at 21,000 miles and still under manufacturer warranty)?
