does anyone know if a 2.3L motor from a 98 can drop in where my '96 2.2L motor is now? i just killed my motor.

What did that mean?

My guess is that it would be ok, probably worth consulting a haynes manual etc and see if it identifies any differences between the two engines.

same mounts and motor size drops right in no problem only this is if the 2.2l is vtec if not then its cool if it did all u have to do is not plug it in

If you change engine displacement, you will most likely have "ECM" ISSUES. It would be best to simply replace your bad motor with that of the same displacement. And if you wish for a different and more powerful engine, you might want to consider a different vehicle
