I don't understand you Honda and Acura Drivers !!!! You guys have an almost bone stock car ( with a few minor bolt on accessories) throw on a few stickers, and add on oversized and ugly spoiler , and a tail pipe with the diameter of a Folgers coffee can that does nothing but make noise and all of the sudden your car is magically transformed into a Ferrari that can beat any car.
I ran into one of you guys on the 15 freeway yesterday that wanted to show me how much of a badass he was with his little Acura, WOW I was impressed. But sad to say my little Porsche toasted him ![]() In order for most of these little beaters to beat, they would have to invest about 20k just to keep up with what I have factory. Get a life guys!!! My little Boxter S is now a Boxster RS. This car has: 986 Twin turbo Flash chipped tuned suspension RUF exhaust short shift kit The fact is you guys can not run with the big boys so stop even trying. BTW lets not even get into my 1998 Carerra Twin Turbo

What's ironic is your ignorance to the potential of these cars.
I have time slips to prove that I walked all over a Z06 'Vette, and I am naturally aspirated with half the horsepower. Yet, when I hit the streets, you wouldn't know that my car had anything done to it, because I don't feel the need to "prove" anything to anybody. The people that "have something to prove" end up disappointing the rest of the Honda community, as well as giving everybody associated with import tuning a bad name. They are the people that you ran into the other day. As for your car, you bought your car fast. Most of us in the Honda community MADE our cars fast. I would give more respect to an import owner that can turn his own wrench before I give respect to someone that can open their wallet. |

To the OP: My motor swap and shell are approximately 1/3rd the cost of one of your vehicles, and yet I would be able to hold my own down a drag strip. And I could only wish you luck keeping up with me on an Autox course. |

I have no fear with racing. As far as building cars fast, i have a 1954 vw bug that puts out close to 300 horse. a car i built myself. No offense to the hondas but that guy on the freeway really pushed my buttons the way he acted.

Also, I want to echo everyone's inner thoughts regarding those mexified junkers with the outlandish spoilers. They are a blemish to those of us who take tuning seriously.
Additionally, I have a question for you GermanSpeed: Why are you on this forum if you have such a negative attitude about tuners? |
