hey everyone im looking at buying a 1991 honda crx at an used car dealership. i got a carfax report for it and it says it was in an accident in 1998 and was given a salvaged title. i figured that since it was 9 years ago and since its in good condition and im only paying 1000 for it, i should go ahead and buy it. is this a good decision?

My experience has taught me to never buy a rebuilt/salvage title no matter how good the deal is.

did you end up buying it? i wouldn't you may end up putting another grand into it. and then you could have bought a better car with all that money

My salvaged HX runs fine, but I wonder why it's a salvage when everythings fine!

Make sure the frame is not damaged becouse youll have lot of problem if the frame is damaged find out how did the car got in to an accident and where was the damage.

Hows the engine? If the engine is still in good condition why worry? If not your in a big trouble dude!

Check everything about the car, if it still works, if there are damages, etc. Looking into the car's background and knowing what accident it got itself in to would really help, since you'd know where to look first.
