Default How do you remove an aftermarket keyless alarm?

The alarm system is ten years old and no longer working so I like to remove
it as it interferes with the door and hatch locks. The original installer
provided no information as to what was done to the car schematically or
where the device is hidden. Disconnect the battery and reconnect it will set
off the alarm as intended but no longer desired. Where would one start to
remove the alarm circuit?

Well man you can , first off remove all your lower dash plastics to
see what you got. Alarms are normally located by or near your cars
interior fuse box is. Try to find anywiring different from all the
rest. The alarm wiring will probably be solid colors ,but some alarm
manufacturers vary, and your cars wiring will have 2 different colors
on the wire. Anyway folow the wires to the main control box. Caution,
unplugging it may not jus solve the problem , some alarms are spliced
to ignition wires that control power. You will have to find and
resolder them together. If this sounds to complicatesd for you don't
attempt cause you could cause more bad then any good,so go down to
your local stereo shop , tell em what's up and they could do it right
and probably for pretty cheap.
