You don't say what year, but all the ones I'm familiar with require removal
of the seatback first. This will expose the center bolt at the back of the
cushion, removal of which will allow the cushion to pivot up and forwards
to unhook.

DO NOT pry upwards on the front of the seat cushion!! You will wreck the
wire hooks that hold the seat cushion in place!

Here are photos of when I removed mine last summer:

Photo 24 shows the center bolt.

Sorry,it's 94 GSR.
Had another theft attempt yesterday at 3 PM(afternoon!) at my apartment,I'm
going to add a fuel cutoff switch. They tried to go into the wheelwell to
pull the hood release cable, but I had already rerouted it and installed a
shield on the hood latch. The alarm went off and they fled when I came out.
They were lurking around in March, too, and fled before I could get their
plate number.

This is twice that my alarm has saved my car.

They don't seem to be worried about the alarm going off, they wait until
they see somebody responding before fleeing.

A waitress I know had her 01 GSR stripped a few months ago and that's what
prompted me to do the hood latch mods;they reached up under the front
bumper ahd hooked the hood release cable with a coathanger and popped the
lid,cut her alarm wires,then took her CAI,front seats,and stereo stuff.She
was lucky,I guess, that they didn't take the whole car,and pull the motor
and ECU.

It's the same for that model.

Pie Jesu. Such anarchy.

Are you in the Chicagoland area? If so, that would explain the rampant
asshole-ishness and impudence of your criminal element. The ****ers
ought to be shot on sight, which you cannot legally do in Illinois. The
bastards know this and grow more arrogant by the day.

In some ways I'm kinda glad I live in the sticks where I do.

North of Orlando,FL. The Honda/Integra thefts even have made the local news
last night, there's two separate areas where the thieves are
operating, hitting lots of cars. TV news had a video of a police bait
Integra,a thief only took less than 30 seconds getting into it and starting
it up,used a dent puller to yank the ignition cylinder;the car had a
tracker on it,and a hidden camera inside the car, they caught him at a chop
shop,he was going to sell the car to buy drugs.

Then Kississimee police did a fake thief stunt at a mall, had an
plainclothes officer slim-jimming a car in their parking lot and nobody
would report him, some even stoppped and HELPED the guy break into a car.
In the middle of the day!
Alarms are only useful for letting YOU know your car is being
burgled, nobody else is going to do anything;that's why I got my carry
permit and a gun.(after the ECU theft back in 02)

I came REAL close to shooting them Apr,06,at 3AM,but since they didn't
actually get a chance to do anything to my car,I held back, only to find
later that day, they had tried to steal a neighbors 99 Civic, trashed the
column and stole his stereo. Now,I wish I HAD shot them.It seems the last
two visits to my car were the same guys, same car;a 96-00 Black Civic.I
think the only way to stop this crap is to shoot one or both of them.
Police are useless, they never patrol the apartment complexes.

I park the car in sight from my windows, and it's only about 30 ft from my
apartment,so it's easy to hear the alarm.
