I'm looking into getting some seat covers for my new RSX to alleviate the
intense heat that is generated by the black leather whenever the car is in direct sunlight for a while. I've tried using a sunshade on the windshield but that only helps so much. I've also read some posts where people say that the leather tends to crack over time, due to the UV exposure I guess. So I figure that would be another good reason to cover them. Also the leather is kind slippery (i.e. it's easy to slide around on it) and I'm guessing that is going to get worse in cold weather. So I'd like to hear from others who have gotten covers for their seats, how they dealt with the issue of the side air bag, and what kind of material they got (e.g. sheepskin, cloth, acrylic, neoprene, etc.). I know about the Wet Okole ones but I'm not sure if I like them and they are a bit pricey. I can buy regular ones and have a local upholstery place make the holes for the air bag at $25 per seat. Just trying to get some good ideas to help me decide what is the best way to go. TIA. Joe |
