in stop-and-go traffic, or when first accelerating after being
completly stopped, my 2002 RL will not respond to soft pressure on the
accelerator. I need to continue pressing on the accelerator until the
car suddenly jumps forward - highly annoying.
Is this typical? Think its fixable? Thanks

Possible tranny problem. Honda has extended the regular transmission
warranty to eight years/80K miles on account of certain congenital defects.

Take it in to your dealer, describe your symptoms. They will have heard
this before.

Sounds like it could be a "sticky" throttle cable?
