I think it was in this newsgroup that someone mentioned that the average home mechanic shouldn't attempt to bleed an ABS system because special tools are needed for that. Anyone know whay this is? If I just want to flush out the old fluid and replace it with fresh fluid, is that something I can do myself?

There may be some ABS systems that are difficult to bleed and/or require special tools, but Išve never encountered one on a Honda/Acusa. Get a copy of the service manual for your car (you donšt say what you have, so only generalized answers are possible) and read up on the procedure. If anything special is required, it will say so. |
