Hi - I'm a 2nd owner of a 2001 1.7EL, and the car didn't come with a
manual. I've had the occasional 'Side Airbag' light go on when I'm driving. It's ALWAYS when there is nobody on the passenger seat, except my briefcase. And the light goes out after I move the bag to the floor. Are there sensors around the seat that detect the "Side Airbag" light? Or is it just a coincidence? necessary to bring to the shop? (considering it goes out when I move my bag to the floor, I don't know if it is intermittent or coincidental.) Any thoguhts? -- MooCow |

Your briefcase is disabling the airbag. |

Thank is correct. I have that two on my RSX
It is for the safety of a child. Air bags are dangerous for them. They should always be in the back "rwh02" <rwh02NOSPAM@comcast.net> wrote in message news:MPG.1c69a90c759fe8f9989681@newsgroups.comcast .net... > In article <ctkh7l$8av$1@luna.vcn.bc.ca>, xmoocowx@vceen.bc.ca > says... >> Hi - I'm a 2nd owner of a 2001 1.7EL, and the car didn't come >> with a >> manual. >> >> I've had the occasional 'Side Airbag' light go on when I'm >> driving.
