Default While I'm at it.. Fog lights

I also had 55W H3 bulbs installed until recently and then put in 100W H3's
(bright!). After a week, the DriversS was inop and this AM I pulled it, finding
the inner glass, where the bulb resides, cracked and the metal bulb base
discolored. Of course the bulb was toasted. The PassngrS still works fine and
has no indication of damage.
Question is, did the dead bulb do the damage to the inner lens or could a
damaged inner lens kill the bulb. The outer lens is fine and I don't see any
way water could get in.
thx

The problem with putting 100W in a socket that was designed for 55 is
dissipation of that extra 45 watts of heat. In some cars, the wires melt as
well. It is highly likely that the bulb damaged the lens.

Yeah, you're right. I'm back to 55 W bulbs. I was sure the 55's were what came
with he car, but as I was installing them, noticed the rear plastic case had "35W"
embossed on it....hmmm.
