It seems to be somewhat difficult because my dealer couldn't do it properly
when I had the same problem. When the alarm is disabled by removing the fuse, other systems also are disabled. Replacing the hood switch fixed the issue on mine. Depending on where he lives, leaving the doors unlocked can be a temporary solution.
