Default How to fix 1990 Integra LS hatchback rear lights with MOISTURE

Both of these have moisture in them and my autobody shop said they can
NOT be taken apart to be fixed & that I need to buy 2 complete new
light assemblies which cost a bomb.

If they can be taken apart & dried & resealed, how is this done.

Is this a "normal" prob with this year & model?

BIG thanks!!!!!!!!

It happens to the front corner lights as well. I think it's because the
epoxy or heat-seal that joins the reflector and lens together has become
compromised.

One quick solution I've found is to drill several 3/32" holes in the bottom
of the reflector near the lens, basically at the lowest point of the
reflector, or as close to that as you can get.

The holes allow water to drain when it gets in, and improve airflow to help
water vapor exhaust itself.

www.g2ic.com (Gen2IntegraClub) has a section devoted to "Teg Tips",
for various maintainence issues. The one on the rear tail lights is:
