I disconnected mine a month after I bought my car new in 1991. There's no switch. The DRL system consists of a relay, a resistor and three fuses in the fuse blocks. Check the fuses #23 and #26 in the fuse block in the driver's kick panel. Check for continuity in the big #33 fuse in the under-hood fuse block on top of the passenger shock tower (remove the fuse first). The resistor is under the hood, on the driver's side inner fender wall near the front. There are three pins arranged in a triangle: A B C Check for continuity between B-A and C-A. The relay is behind the passenger kick panel. Checking that is bit more involved. I can post a jpeg of the relevant page out of the factory manual if you wish. Pull the relay apart and look for cracked solder on the PCB. If any found, reflow the solder. Check all this other stuff first, and if it's all good, you either have a bad ground (unlikely) or the relay is bad. -- TeGGeR® The Unoffical Honda/Acura FAQ www.tegger.com/hondafaq/ |
