Is it possible to activate/enable Daytime Running Light's in a 2000 TL?
I was poking around in the driver's side fuse block the other day and saw the designated space for the DRL's. I wondered if it would be as simple as inserting the correct amperage fuse in the space. Is it? If so, what amp fuse? I'd really like to have DRL's if possible. Thanks for any answers. Charlie Chan |

Its probably possible to hook it up, but it looks to be pretty involved to figure out just what you have to do. There is a four page wiring diagram of the DRL circuit with references to a dozen or so additional affected circuits in the factory electrical troubleshooting manual. You will need to work through it and identify which (if any) circuits and components are missing or different in your car. I waded through it to figure out how to make the cigar lighter circuit hot all the time and it turned out all I needed to do was move one wire to a different pin in one of the connectors at the passenger side fuse block. This might not be any more difficult, but it will take some studying to know. If you really want to get into it, email me (e.meyer@ieee.org) and I'll scan the pages for you. |

It shouldn't be too difficult. This is standard in Canada.
