I have an anti-theft factory stereo in this car that requires a code to be
entered after the power has been cut. I have heard that the car itself has a similar feature that disables the instrument panel after the battery is disconnected until the proper code has been entered. Does anyone know anything about this? It's news to me. If it is true, where is the code put in and how do I find out what the code is? Would it have the same code as the stereo? |

I don't think that is true. I changed a battery or two in my '94 and did not
need to know a code. My after-market CD player does require the isuued code. I had to install an aftermarket alarm after my ECU was stolen in 2002,it took 6 WEEKS to get a new one from Japan. -- Jim Yanik jyanik-at-kua.net |
