Just wanted to share a trick that fixed a problem I had on my 00 3.2TL.
Last night, as I was leaving my subdivision, I had the wipers on intermittent, and went to hit the washer. As soon as I did, the wipers quit- dead, immobile, unresponsive. No switch movement worked. I checked all of the fuses, and not one was blown. Obviously, I thought, I fried the wiper relay. A quick search online reveled that I could get the part delivered for about $37. A coworker of mine who is good with cars suggested that before I order the relay, to just disconnect both cables of the battery for about 5-10 minutes, then reconnect them and try the wipers. I did, and son of a gun, they worked. At the very least, he saved me $37 and some of my own time. Had I taken this to a shop, I hate to think of what they would have charged. Just figured I share this with you folks. Much Respect, Charlie Chan |
