I have an Acura 1997 3.2TL. The problem is that the compressor
continues running whenever the engine is on. I am suspecting that the air-conditioning switch (climate control unit) does not seem to work. The result is that the air-inlet (tubes) freezes over on long journeys( I tried feeling the surface under the glove compartment and it was freezing cold) i.e. when the car has been running in excess of one-hour. This results in no air getting into the cabin. When I tuned on the cold engine in the morning with the AC off, and in fresh air mode, I sensed that the cold air (colder than the air outside) was being pushed into the car through air flow in fresh air mode). I opened the hood and check the fans (one radiator, one condenser) are all running. I technician told me confirmed that the compressor was running all the time. Someone also mentioned that it could be the sensor, fan timer, or the whole climate control unit that is malfunction. Any advice will be appreciated |
