Default Rear Splash Guards

I just got my 2001 TL and the back fenders got dirty almost right
away. So I ordered a set of rear splash guards.

Is there a good reason why Acura does not put slash guards at the
back?

My dealer puts them on all his car. If he hadn't I'd have had them put on
front and back immediately. Good insurance against gravel, etc.

Not everyone likes them?
The would increase the cost of the car?

it's a $65 retail cost. i'm sure Acura can get them for about 40 cents and
have them robot installed during assembly.

sarcasm, but's it's true, it would cost Acura almost nothing to have them as
a standard item.

they also do not fit with the ground effects package....

Although we can debate whether any of the reasons for not having
them may not meet our individual approval, my point is that there
are a lot of reasons whey Acura hasn't decided to include them.
You've just added another.
