I wish I could help, but I have owned my 2004 TL for over 6 months and
Verizon is yet to release a BlueTooth-enabled phone. I keep asking Verizon and all I get is that they are "looking into it". - Russ in Santa Barbara "kbstreet" <kbstreet@comcast.net> wrote in message news:BuCdnVMEV5I1S03dRVn-uw@comcast.com... > Has anyone used the Motorola V600 Bluetooth phone w/ the Acura TL's ('04) > HandsFreeLink system? I switched to Cingular only because they offered a Bluetooth phone. My
company uses Verizon & wanted me to go w/ their plan. I was able to talk them into letting me go w/ Cingular just so I can use it w/ my TL. The only problem that I am having is that I cannot answer a call w/ HandsfreeLink when the phone is closed. I can make calls, but not answer them. I hope to get this solved in the next couple days, though. I don't own a TL, but I do own a V600. When I test drove it, they linked my
phone up within about 30 seconds, and the salesman called me from his phone, while I was in the car. Worked well it seemed, although the voice commands would take some practice and patience. I didn't buy the car because of the FWD feel. I'm hoping that I'm sold on the new RL in a couple months! Randy |

any of the GSM providers have at least 1 phone that is bluetooth capable.
GSM is the mother of all cellular specifications. CDMA/TDMA and the other crud is not universal and will be phased away when the see how much better GSM really is. i just got a sony/ericcson T610 (cingular/att/t-mobile). works awesome with the TL, however, the T610 has a short talk life battery, i have to get better battery. The v600 has a ton of glitches. One of the most major one is with the
bluetooth. I dont know about the integration to the tl but if I were you wait 6mo and do a warranty exchange and get the new firmware version that corrects the bluetooth. (I work for ATT Wireless tech support) |

All,
I managed to pair up V600 with 2004 TL and had couple of minor problems. All of them have been fixed and now everything works great. Problems I had were: TL not finding the phone and voice commands. The first problem had to do with setting up the phone (instructions were not that good in the V600 manual). Once the setup was done, the car and phone have been finding each other almost 2 seconds after the engine is turned on. The voice commands are mostly related to noise. As you would expect, more road noise means more trouble with voice commands. No problem with voice commands while waiting at a traffic light. I started using the navi to dial out the phone numbers. It's not as great as just saying dial some number, but at least I don't waste time trying to get the voice command system to work. ram "General Schvantzkoph" <schvantzkoph@yahoo.com> wrote in message news an.2004.07.05.23.54.52.285699@yahoo.com...> On Sat, 26 Jun 2004 19:11:43 -0400, sgc04105 wrote: > > > The v600 has a ton of glitches.
