the 3.5 V6? i'm wondering if there are any quality
issues with that engine setup. i'm thinking about the
FX35 after acura gave me a Murano as a loaner.

My two Infinitis are older ('96 I30 & '97 I30t), but I have an '02
Pathfinder with the 3.5 engine. No problems with it in 34,000 miles. It
can launch that 4300 pound slug to 60 in about 8 seconds. The 3.5 gets 17-19
mpg on premium gas in the Pathfinder.

I don't own one, but have a friend and a relative that do (FX35). The engine
is the 3.5L found in many newer Nissan/Infiniti models. Its the updated
version of the 1995-2001 3.0L used previously on the older Maximas. All of
these "VQ engines" are very reliable.

In my opinion the AWD is a little overrated, also the willow interior looks
ugly and bland. Its like a tan with a light shade of green. Although the
base price is $34,500 it actually starts at 37+ if you want it in any color
besides white. Overall, a fun vehicle to drive. The main downside is that
its harsh over rough roads, I can't imagine how it drives with the optional
20" wheels (standard, I think, on the FX45).

Check out this website, the Infiniti sections will have many comments from
owners. Good luck.

The only problem with the Murano and company, is that they are gas
guzzlers..
