Default 99 Integra SE Automatic

For some reason when I put my gear out of park and into reverse I hear some
kind of sound from the gears I think and also the car jerks suddenly. It
only happens when the engine is cold cause when it's warm the problem is not
there and it comes out of park smoothly. Is this normal?
