Default Mercedes Benz

just read edmunds review of the SL and saw that its
brake-by-wire. is this a safety issue when you lose power?
also, how about the keyless start, could you be packing the
trunk and the kid drive away? or does it cut when out of range?

my main point is either these are genuinely safe technolgies or
they assume MB drivers aren't dumb and careless.

thoughts?
