The gearing in some high mileage MDXs suffered some failures so hence the recall. Low mileage vehicles may not exhibit any problems but its serious enough to warrant a recall. If you're the original owner or have purchased a used '01 or '02 MDX and registered change of ownership with Acura, you'll receive an oficial notice from Acura.
