Default TL vs. BMW 330xi

I'd like to get any feedback from people that might
have considered the TL vs. the 330xi. I'm leaning
toward the TL. Lower cost, and seems more
comfortable and has higher power. BMW does
have the advantage of the all wheel drive which could
be handy in the winter.

As I was walking our dog through the neighborhood tonight, I talked with one
of our neighbors who just bought a new 3 series BMW for his wife. He made
an interesting statement about BMWs. He said that although he liked to
drive it, he didn't like to ride in it. He thought is was a too rough
riding. Has anyone else ever heard this criticism?

As my wife and I almost always share driving on trips, I guess I am glad we
chose the TL. Other than this darn tire issue, it's been flawless. My
Acura dealer has my new Turanza EL42s, but can't swap them for Michelins. I
think I will let them install the new tires and see if the vibration issue
remains. If it does, what will Acura do then? Continue to provide an
endless supply of Bridgestone EL42s? I wonder...

i compared them for 03. pricewise it was tl-s vs 325x.
its been 2 winters for me and the fwd is great in the snow.

get the 04 TL for summer fun and save the extra $10k
and get a used pathfinder for snow.

The TL will be fine in the snow, if you put on winter tires. With snow
tires it will stop better than the xi with all-seasons.

I would lean towards the TL due to reliability ratings and dealer service.
I happen to have good honda and acura dealers close to me, and the BMW
dealers here have very, very poor reputations and my experience with them
has been the same. You might factor in which dealer service department
treats people better out of the two.

I priced the BMW to compare it with the TL, with roughly the same
features the BMW was over $7k more expensive than the TL and it was
smaller.

FWIW I got my TL about a week ago and have not had any vibration
issues. As an auto/nav it came with the EL 42s.

Drove the 330xi last weekend. TL seemed much quicker,
has more features for less money. Not even any lumbar support
in the seats on the 330xi. Kids didn't like the fact no cupholders
in the back seat, so looks like I'm leaning towards the TL!
