Greetings To The List,
Have a 00 3.2 TL w/moonroof that has started 'creaking'. I saw that there was a TSB out on this (00-023), but haven't been able to see the actual TSB. I've seen some discussion in other groups that the dealer used teflon tape (as directed by Acura/Honda) to counteract this. I'm guessing that I should clean the edge of the actual roof and apply the tape, correct? Anyone? Bueller? I appreciate any guidance you can send my way regarding this. The creak is starting to irritate me. Much Respect, Genghis |

At the last service visit to the dealer, I complained about the exact same
issue. They resolved it by installing the tape, though I don't know what material it is made of.. They will do it at no cost. Unfortunately, I'm the second owner, so I don't think a "no charge" service visit is in my future. I appreciate your taking the time to reply. Much Respect, Genghis |

My '00 TL started making sunroof noises & it turned out that the track it slides on was dry on one side - apparently from the time it was built. I took it to the dealer and they actually said they didn't have time to look at it (so much for Acura's warranty service...). I greased the track on the dry side and all the noises went away. |
