Default DRL's for 2004 TL

Does anyone know if there is a simple way to add the daytime running light
feature to my 2004 TL (automatic w/o nav)? I know the Canadian version has
DRL's, but no fog lights. They might be using the fog lights for the DRL's.
I would be willing to give up the fog lights since they are of little
practical value anyway.

I'll second the notion that I would like to have DRLs somehow also. For
now, I do it the GM way (ala Chevy Venture) and select the parking lamps.

just leave the headlights on all the time.
they shut off by themselves.

Well, I'd rather not replace the headlamps too soon.

Yes, I know about the automatic headlight on/off feature, but would prefer
not to use it for a number of reasons.
1. DRL lights are supposed to be at a lower intensity than regular
headlights.
2. I would rather not burn out the expensive high intensity bulbs any sooner
than need be.
3. Leaving the headlights on all the time means you have to manually set the
dash control lights to max in the daytime and off max at night.
Seems as if no none has an easy remedy for the conversion. Thanks anyway.
