As I was walking our dog through the neighborhood tonight, I talked with one
of our neighbors who just bought a new 3 series BMW for his wife. He made an interesting statement about BMWs. He said that although he liked to drive it, he didn't like to ride in it. He thought is was a too rough riding. Has anyone else ever heard this criticism? As my wife and I almost always share driving on trips, I guess I am glad we chose the TL. Other than this darn tire issue, it's been flawless. My Acura dealer has my new Turanza EL42s, but can't swap them for Michelins. I think I will let them install the new tires and see if the vibration issue remains. If it does, what will Acura do then? Continue to provide an endless supply of Bridgestone EL42s? I wonder... - Russ in Santa Barbara |

Regarding the tire swap ...
Apparently once tires are delivered to the dealer, they are no longer new and cannot be exchanged for another brand. The service advisor tried several tire dealers in Ventura CA, but all said the same thing -- they cannot sell them as new once the dealer received them. He did mention an alternative. He suggested that I purchase the Michelins and bring my EL42s back to him. He would then give me the four new Turanzas that I could sell. The thought of lugging around old and new tires in the TL is not too appealing to me though. And who knows what the market for used tires is ... - Russ in SB "Robert Henry" <robertshenryno@spamcox.net> wrote in message news 5vec.25260$192.22225@lakeread06...> > "RLL" <rlombardo@cox.net> wrote in message > news:x6pec.19150$ZH2.15917@fed1read06... > > As I was walking our dog through the neighborhood tonight, I talked with > one > > of our neighbors who just bought a new 3 series BMW for his wife.
