Default power windows 1990 acura integra GS

hi,

have a problem and need some help. my passenger front and rear windows do
not go up or down. the driver side front and back windows work (only with
the master switch). i have tried changing the master switch, still doesn't
work. could it be a motor problem (where are the power windows located??),
harness problem or what??

Cheers

RS

did some more investigation, and applied 12 volts directly to each of the
windows that weren't working and they work. so i guess it's a wiring
problem. does anyone know where the wires from the power window switch go
(ie: into the engine compartment or under the dash. please help.

The most likely place for a wiring problem is in the harness where it runs
between the driver's door and the car body. I would check there first for
broken wires or worn off insulation before digging into the rest of the car.

The wiring harness exits out of the door and to the fuse panel. From
the relay on the panel, it gets +12 from the battery feed through the
firewall. The wiring continues behind the dash (part goes to the lock
controller) and then a large portion of the loom crossed under the
passenger seat (under the carpet) and continues to the rear of the car.
The windows are controlled with the onboard relay on the fusebox as
well as switches in both door connections. If you need schematics, let
me know and I'll email them to you. It's not very difficult to trace
the wiring if you pull the dash out.

It sounds to me like you have a broken switch contact, failed relay or
an open in the circuit. It shouldn't be too hard to diagnose with a
little more investigating.
