Hey,
I have a 94 integra RS with a 5 speed. About 2 weeks ago, I was at a stop light and when it turned green my car wouldn't go into gear. At first, I thought I had bad clutch hydralics since the clutch reservior was low, so I replaced the master and slave cylinders (also added transmission just in case it was low). It does shift gears now, but not nearly as smoothly as before, and downshifting is a pain, I have to slow down alot more than I used to shift into a smaller gear. Any suggestions? Also, I shear that some of the integra transmissions are cable and some are hydraulic. What does that mean? thanks, Mark in CenTX |

If it does not want to go into gear, push the stick into the gear you want
with the clutch all the way down and let go of the clutch slowly and the gear will go in very smoothly. It sometimes happens to my 2000 gs-r when trying to go into 1st gear. I seem to have the same problem with my 99 GS-R. Occasionally it gets hard
to shift into 1s gear, however if I shift to the second gear and back to first gear it gets through without resistance. I wonder if it's another known design flaw or there is something that needs to be fixed to remediate the shifting problem? -vs "Sonoman" <nospam@microsoft.com> wrote in message news:G4U1c.45324$0l1.29224@bignews3.bellsouth.net. .. > If it does not want to go into gear, push the stick into the gear you want > with the clutch all the way down and let go of the clutch slowly and the > gear will go in very smoothly.
