I bought a '03 RSX Type S and have had no problems.
I am just approaching the 5,000 mark and everything seems to be working well. The car is beautiful. I'm learning to drive it at high rev's - something a person from my generation has always avoided - and the only real gripe I have is that after (or during) rain when I open the rear hatch, water drops down into the car. Other than that, the car seems to be quite together George |

Same here...we got an '03 base last March and we love the car. The only
problem we had was an exhaust smell inside the car from time to time. Took it in and there was a TSB on it...they fixed it (plugged some vent holes in the back and replaced the cat). Now all is well. I have an '03 RSX with 13,000 miles and have had no problems whatsoever (unless you count a $300 repair bill to replace the stupid fog lights that had been cracked by road debris so I could get it to pass state inspection). I'm with you, though, about driving at high RPM - it revs up so high in first gear that I'm afraid that I'll rag the engine out over time. I love this car with the exception of the very stingy torque - it definitely needs more pick-up at low speeds! |

I have an '02 type s (19k miles). No major problems. I replaced the stereo
with an aftermarket but that was by choice. I never had problems with any gear. Maybe, once every couple of months I grind a gear a little but thats my own fault. I've had an '03 since March. The only problem was an exhaust smell inside
the car from time to time. There is a TSB about it, and they plugged some holes by the hatch and replaced the cat. No problems since.
