Default '90 Integra Shutting Down

Hi
Here's my problem.

Last couple of times I started the car it shut down after a few minutes. I
restarted it and it seemed fine.
The next day though it shut down on me while I was driving.

Help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Does it do this when idling or only when you depress the accelerator?
I would guess one of a few different things (maybe you have already
checked some of them - I don't know).

My first guess would be that you might have a bad ignition switch (this
problem has been addressed in an old TSB as I recall). If it isn't a
faulty switch, I would assume either a bad main EFI relay, failing
alternator or worn brushes, failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter,
failing coil or ICM, or perhaps a bad TPS or MAP. All of which can be
tested and/or replaced with basic hand tools and a meter.

Do you know how to jump the service connector to check for codes? If
not, email me. If you do, did the ECU through any codes? Is this an
automatic or manual trans? As you can see, there are many
possibilities... I suggest starting with the simple (read: cheap)
solutions and work from there. Do you own a test light or meter?
These will come in handy...

please try to describe exactly what's happening.... Is the car dying
when at driving speed or on at idle? Does it happen right before or
after acceleration or braking? Have you been having any issues with
power distribution (i.e. faint horn, dim dash lights, etc.)?

Ignition switch, loose fuse, ignitor or main relay.
For the latter, a common problem, see:

Easiest and cheapest to fix;main relay.(IMO) (it fixed my 94 GSR!)
Loose fuse sounds like a long shot

Yeah, but it's the easiest thing to check.

If you need an ignitor, email me. I have one in my shop that I don't
need.

Thanks.
Andrew.
