Hey all. I'm in SoCal and I put a deposit on a 2004 Acura TL with navigation
earlier this month. It seems they are totally out of a specific computer chip needed to run the navi and it will take about 10 weeks to arrive. Does anyone else around the nation have this problem? For kicks, it's got dark gray metallic exterior, black leather interior, manual transmission... I'm selling my 02 Accord EX V6 coupe for this. |

I'm selling my 02 Accord EX V6 coupe for this. I was lucky enough to get mine ordered and delivered in December before the shortage got really intense. I hear that the current issue is indeed the supplier of the Navi parts can't keep up with the demand. More precisely, Acura -- based on previous years sales -- underestimated the sale of TL's with the Navi. GPS sales used to run about 24% (if I remember correctly) and with the '04's, it's more like 40 something percent. The car (and the Navi) is worth the wait! |
