Does anyone know how to remove the sfift knob from the rsx typs-s. I plan to
replace with a aluminum shift knob. I dont see any screw on it, I try to turn it counter clockwise it just doesn't budge. When I was at the dealer showroom I saw this type-s with aluminum knob and the shift boot seem to separate from the knob, Do I have to buy the boot by itself cause my currrent shift knob is attach to the boot. I'm afraid if I ever separate the knob I may damage the boot. Thanks for all your help! John |

You do need to pull the boot down before you unscrew it. And yes, it
takes ALOT of force to get the knob started moving, my base shift knob was tough. The boot is problematic, suggest you do a search on the forums at clubrsx.com as to the best way to handle the boot.
