hi,
bought car with no keys. got key without the chip but with a brake code. I
understand this code works off of the e-brake light.
when i put the key to the on position the brake light stays on? should it
be?
so i go through the on off steps & get no spark?

any ideas?

What possible chain of circumstances would lead to you purchasing a car
without keys, and why not visit a dealer?

Cars that are stolen and the insurance company has assumed ownership due to
the settlement being paid out to the original owner come with keys.
The reason I know this is because my insurance company asked for my keys and
the ownership before they would send me a check.
You should contact the insurance company and ask for the keys, otherwise you
are going to have a very hard time starting that car.
