The Acura owners link shows detailed coverage info for the v2.11 update that
is scheduled for release tomorrow. It highlights added coverage areas in red. It looks like under 30 new cities were added, including major metropolitan areas like Bend, OR; Racine, WI: and Boise ID. In addition, there is expanded coverage of a little over 20 areas currently covered in v2.05. Looks like a another major disappointment from Acura. There is no new coverage for NY, for example, where only Buffalo, Rochester, the NYC area and Cooperstown have detailed mapping. Looks like we're screwed again. They really don't seem to have added much in the two years since the last update and they want $185 plus tax and shipping for it. Joel You can see the list of coverage areas at the Acura Oeners Link or at: https://ecominet2.alpine-usa.com/htm...reas_honda.htm |

The Acura owner's link is still not showing a new update, at least not for my 2000 TL. |

Is it possible that your browser is not refreshing? Owners Link has been coming up with the update order form for the past several days. Joel |

Compare coverage for Alpine's current aftermarket system v2.0 with Acura's v2.11. Alpine gets its data from NavTech and also markets Acura's DVDs. Alpine: http://www.alpine-usa.com/html/D2_n_1_n_n.html Acura: https://ecominet2.alpine-usa.com/htm...reas_honda.htm A quick check shows that the Alpine DVD has more detailed coverage than the Acura DVD. Check out Syracuse, NY for example. Alpine's DVD even includes some detailed coverage in the provinces of Ontario and British Colombia, Canada. Sure looks like Acura is not providing all of the detailed coverage available form NavTech. Joel |

I was able to get to it by following the link from the Acura site, then hacking the URL to get to the parent page at alpine. 2.11 shows up there. I'm think there must be a java bug in the Acura site. |

I remember reading somewhere that Honda/Acura is required to be a year/version
behind Alpine... Joel Elias wrote: > "Lee Florack" <lflorack@rochester.rr.com> wrote in message > > > So you know, virtually ALL (if not all) GPS vendors purchase and > > use maps from NaviTech.
