I have a 2003 MDX with the roof rack. I want to get a water proof roof top
box (hard or soft side) for extra luggage while traveling. Does anyone have any recommendations other than the Acura one (which is about $330)? Thanks in advance |

Plenty of pictures and reivews/reports about roof top box and of course, you can always ask away in there to other MDX owners. |

There are two main suppliers of good quality roof top boxes that you should
look at - Thule - www.thule.com/ Yakima - www.yakima.com Both are widely distributed. In North America, they can be found at REI, many outdoor sporting goods shops as well car rack speciality shops such as : Sportsracks - www.sportsrack.com The boxes don't come cheap but they are the best quality you can buy. The dealer price for the box actually isn't that bad but it's still worth checking out other options...... If you're looking for a different option, Thule has a new carrier coming out soon that they were showing. It mounts to the trailer hitch, but swings out of the way for access to the hatch. It was pretty cool and you don't need to climb up on the roof for access and I would presume that it won't screw up the aerodynamics (ie gas mileage) as bad. -- Take out the "REMOVE" in the return address to reply |
