My son has a MDX and want to put a "s-car-go" type enclosed carrier on it.
The MDX has no gutter, nor any ridges etc. to which we might affix the straps. His model did not come with a car-top carrier in place. Any one here solved the problem?? Help please, as his trip approaches the end of this week. Thanks RG |

Maybe: I have a Sears car top carrier - about 7 or 8 years old. I've used
on our Town & country mini van. It fastens to the luggage rack (I'm presuming you have a touring model with the rack) with U-bolts that go around the luggage rack bars and fasten inside the carrier with wing nuts. This is dependant on the spacing between the cross bars of the luggage rack.. I was looking at the MDX in a showroom and wasn't sure if the bars spacing is adjustable or not - so his may or may not work. I presume this is how the Acura rack works, but obviously theirs would have the correct spacing. You could measure and go to Sears and check it out. I also presume that similar racks are available at other auto supply places, and I'm presuming that Sears still makes and sells these.
