Anybody consider the SI over the RSX?

Yes, and I'm happy I spent the extra money for the RSX. I think the
interior and exterior are much nicer, to name a few things. A better
warranty (although you probably won't use it), an incredible experience
with the dealer (first time I've never had "issues" buying a new car).

I was told by my trusty service guy over at my local acura not to buy an
RSX. Its not worth the money. He said get a civic...just as reliable and
nice...but less expensive. I have no opinion on this, im just saying what
my acura service guy told me.

As for the worth for the money, the RSX probably is overpriced for the
money, but then again, that might be said of the Civic too. Either way
you're paying premium for the name and its reputation, in the RSX's case
the "upscale" brand commands a bigger price hike. However, *IMHO*, the new
Civic is pretty damn ugly, whereas the RSX seems the most visually
appealing design yet (in the Integra line).

As for reliability, I believe both are brand new designs, so they will
both have some bugs that will be worked out in the next year or so.
If you can't wait till then, choose whatever you feel best in.
You're about to shell out BIG bucks, and invest them in a fast devaluing
product. Might as well get the fullest enjoyment out of it.

Scott is right,

If you read the TSX board you can see it suffers major rattles....if you
read the new accord boards you will see it has alot of problems....

If you read the RSX boards/customer complains you see hardly anything
besides a problem with 2nd gear shifting....I think they did some good
testing on this car

Yes, I don't have this issue with my Base RSX.
