Default 1991 Integra Octane?

I have been burning 87 octane and it runs fine.
Is this OK?

Thanks,
SHRED

Default Re: 1991 Integra Octane?

Sure it is !

anyway, the manual recommends 86+ octane for the RS/LS/GS models, and since
the compression ration of the b18 engine is not very high (9.2 : 1), there
is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to burn higher octane fuel, unless you experience
knocking (although you should not because of the knock sensor and all engine
control systems).

Oh yeah, and if it is a B17A1 engine (GS-R), you definitely need to use 91+
octane, as stated in the 1991 service manual.

cheers,
marc-andre
